Its Eden with short hair!

Can you believe it?  We can't believe it!  We finally cut his beautiful hair.  We just decided to do it.  Cutting it was very difficult because he did not want to stay still.  It took probably three tries to finally get it looking good.  He looks like a different boy.  It will definitely take a while to get used to, but its a good change.  Eden went from 9 months to 2 years in one day!

Eden meets a beautiful butterfly

On Tuesday, Eden had a rare first encounter with a butterfly.  This butterfly is the citrus swallowtail which we found as a caterpillar munching away on our orange tree.  We collected it and kept it until it emerged as a beautiful butterfly.  It still could not fly for a while so we got to get a close look at it.

Eden has been quite the musician lately. He loves to play the bongos and to strum the guitar.  Check out the video of Eden playing the drums at the end.

Eden's First Trip to Makalawena

Daddy, Mommy, and Eden went camping at Makalawena on the Kona Coast.  It was a perfect day.  The waves were big and the sun was hot.  We had lots of fun!  Here are some pictures to highlight the trip.

Tonight is Eden's 9th moon cycle.  He was born on the Hoku moon which is the moon before the full moon.

We vote to cut it.  He'll be cute in a mullet, he's a baby, he can get away with it.

We think that if its become problematic for him to have bangs in his face, then cut it.  Obviously it will grow back FAST and THICK!

To cut or not to cut. That is the question.

Eden has been wearing his hair up in a little pony tail to keep his bangs out of his eyes.  Although this may be convenient, its kinda girlyish.  Every time we get close to cutting it, something stops us cause its so long and pretty and if we cut the bangs he will have a classic baby mullet.  What should we do?  Elections are over, but maybe we should vote on this.  Do we cut it, or keep it tied back?

This picture was taken yesterday when Eden's friend Felix came to play.  Eden is just about 9 months and Felix is 11 months.  They are just starting to interact and hang out.  Its so cute.

Well it took me almost 9 months, but I finally started Eden Boy's blogspot to try and keep in touch better with you.
